We are seeking an experienced practitioner to join us in the newly created role of People & Culture Advisor. The role is 30.4 hours per week, worked over four or five days on a ongoing basis. Working hours are flexible within standard business hours.

 

About the Role

Working within a small team which includes WHS, L&D and Payroll specialist functions, you will work alongside leaders and colleagues to support and enable our organisation through best practice HR. You will seek to deeply understand our services and our people, and build and maintain strong and respectful relationships. Our workforce covers three different industries – early learning, healthcare and community services – making it a unique organisation in which to practice HR.

In this generalist role, you will primarily provide accurate, timely and solution focused advice on a range of day to day HR related matters including employee benefits, recruitment and onboarding and performance management, in line with relevant legislation, modern awards, enterprise agreements and organisational policy and procedures.

Additionally, you will play a key role in:

  • Collecting and analysing people data insights
  • Supporting the upskilling of line leaders and staff through learning and development
  • Supporting WHS colleagues with safety and wellness initiatives across the agency

About You

  • Tertiary qualification in Human Resources, or other related field (highly desired).
  • Minimum 2 years’ experience at HR Advisor level or similar is preferred.
  • Experience in all aspects of the employee lifecycle.
  • Current or recent in-depth knowledge and understanding of the Australian industrial relations system and legislation.
  • Ability to work in a collaborative team environment and independently as needed.

The successful candidate must possess a satisfactory National Police Clearance obtained within six months of their appointment, a valid WA drivers licence and have access to their own reliable and registered vehicle.
