    • Based initially in Ellenbrook office, after then becomes flexible and negotiable

    About the Role

     

    To administer the operational, financial and service delivery requirements defined by the Parenting Research Centre (PRC), in order to deliver up to 22 peer support groups, made up of MyTime provider organisations, group facilitators and families in Western Australia.

    MyTime is a Department of Social Services funded program which provides peer support families who have children with a disability, chronic health conditions and complex needs.

    The Position

    We are currently recruiting for an individual who yearns to make a difference and is available from 1 July 2024 to 18 July 2025 for a maternity cover. This is max term 0.7FTE Team Leader - MyTime based at our Ellenbrook Office initially. We can then negotiate where is the best location for the suitable candidate. Workdays and hours are flexible.

    Duties

    • Ensure service provision is implemented in accordance with Ngala’s Strategic and Operational Plans
    • Ensure practice is informed by current evidence.
    • To ensure contractual reporting, financial and administrative tasks, as documented in the Agreement between the Parenting Research Centre (PRC) and Ngala are adhered to.
    • To maintain a positive partnership / relationship with the PRC.
    • To create and develop positive partnerships with current and potential MyTime provider organisations based in Western Australia.
    • To represent the interests of provider organisations, MyTime families and Ngala at a statewide level.

    About You

     

    To be successful in the role you will have:

    • Diploma level qualification (or higher) in Community Services or similar field and/or demonstrated work experience.
    • Demonstrated use of solution focused/strength-based approach in working with others.
    • Understanding of community development principles.
    • Understanding of working in disability community contexts.
    • Understanding of working in Aboriginal community contexts.
    • Understanding of working in CaLD community contexts.
    • Well-developed and effective administrative and computer skills.
    • Effective communication skills.
    • Effective interpersonal and relationship building skills.

    If successful, you will need to possess a current WA driver's licence, Working with Children Check, and satisfactory National Police Clearance obtained within six months.

    It is essential that you meet the above criteria and are permitted to work and remain in Australia with no limitations to be considered.
